Even a little monster like Stitch can get all excited about the holidays! Here are two holiday-themed art pieces from LILO ADN STITCH. The watercolor backgrounds in this film are extraordinary.

This first image is a simple screen cap. The characters don't move, so there was no way to digitally erase them. But savor the gorgeous background art... as good as any of Disney's best.

Yep, you read it right. With all the brutishly cold weather many of us are experiencing (including those of us in L.A.), I thought a respite from the weather might be just the right thing. So... here's a new piece of pan background art from The JUNGLE BOOK I digitally re-assembled this evening. And as usual with long pan B/Gs, I've split it up so you can have a closer look. I hope this brings some warmth to your winter's night...

Appropriate to Yuletide... background art from A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS. These include a wonderful digitally recreated pan background as well as three incidental pieces.

PAUL BUNYAN (1958)

It's time for another look at Disney's classic featurette PAUL BUNYAN. The color stylist was Eyvind Earle, whose work on "Sleeping Beauty" created a whole new look for Disney. PAUL BUNYAN continues the stylized, modern approach, and takes it even further. The forest motifs are beautifully rendered, as you can readily see. The background credits for PAUL BUNYAN belong to artist Walt Peregoy.

As an animal lover, I was absolutely knocked out by a set of photographs that show us the "real Bambi & Thumper!"
