HIATUS

Hello, friends. And I mean that.

In the years since I started this blog, I've made real friends around the world.

The time has come for a hiatus. Possibly permanent.

It takes an incredible amount of time to digitally restore these backgrounds. I've loved every minute!

But, my life is in a state of evolving and transition, and I need to focus on that.

I'm going to leave the blog online for your reference. And mine too!

Thanks for your support and encouragement over the years. Over TWO MILLION people have visited this blog.

Amazing. It's a tribute to the artistry of the talented people in the animation industry.

For the moment... that's all, folks.

    I feel bad that this is my first time leaving a comment. I'd just like to thank you for all the hard work you've put into all the posts. It was really interesting to see all of the backgrounds that were made for these films, not to mention the feelings of nostalgia that some of them gave me!     I felt sad after seeing the word "HIATUS". I was hoping that you ment a different thing, but I was wrong. Your blog has been one of my sources in terms of animation. I can remember when I was still looking for a source, I have been linked by Orange County search engine optimization to various sites.     Hi Rob,

    Sorry to hear you won't be continuing the blog. I'm trying to learn color theory/painting on the side and downloaded a bunch of the images to my iPad as I paint on the go. I primarily do character concepts but am trying to do more environment pieces. I did not see the disclaimer on downloading until after the fact. I will be happy to delete the images off of my iPad if you would like. please let me know.
