  3. Hi moontaco... in answer to your question, I take the sections of a scene where the animated character is NOT, layer them in Photoshop like pieces of a puzzle, retouch the edges, and then we have a completed, re-constructed B/G.

    Eric, the great, classic Tom and Jerry cartoons were actually created for theatrical release. Their presence on TV was recycling! I agree with you, they are wonderful.
